Your doggy’s daily diet

When we take our daily vitamins, we don’t always feel the benefit straight away. You often have to take them every day over several weeks before they actually start to help you. It’s exactly the same with your dog and his Pedigree® Joint Care+ treats. To see the best results, you’ll need to make sure your dog enjoys one treat every day. After doing that for just 6 weeks, hopefully you could see more of a spring in his step.

While we’re on the subject of feeding, to give Pedigree® Joint Care+ a good chance of working, it helps to make sure your dog is eating properly. Just like us, our canine friends need to enjoy a balanced diet and plenty of exercise. You see, if a dog is overweight, his joints will suffer under the extra pressure, which could undo all the good work you’re doing with Pedigree® Joint Care+. Trouble is, like most dogs, yours is probably always on the lookout for his next meal or a tasty snack and that can trick you into thinking he’s still hungry. But don’t be fooled - how many times has your dog turned down a tempting treat? Probably never! So it’s up to you to keep an eye on his meals and make sure he’s not over doing it on tit-bits.

If you’re not sure whether your dog is a little bit on the plump side or not, just stand in front of him and run your fingers along his ribcage. If you can feel his ribs through a firm coat of skin, then he’s fine. If you are struggling to even find them, maybe you need to take a look at his diet. And don’t worry, feeding one Pedigree® Joint Care+ treat a day should not have an impact on your dog’s weight. In fact, some dogs might actually lose weight because as their mobility improves, they can start to exercise more again.
