Using our mussels
There comes a time when dogs slow down and can experience a little joint stiffness. But it doesn’t have to be an unavoidable part of the ageing process. Pedigree® Joint Care+ treats are designed to help ease the joint stiffness that’s slowing him down.
Your doggy’s daily diet
When we take our daily vitamins, we don’t always feel the benefit straight away. You often have take them every day over several weeks before they actually start to help you. It’s exactly the same with your dog and his Pedigree® Joint Care+ treats. To see the best results, you’ll need to make sure your dog enjoys one treat every day. After doing that for just 6 weeks, hopefully you could see more of a spring in his step.
A glimpse inside a joint
So far, we’ve talked a lot about joints. But maybe it’s time we had a closer look at them. Why are they so important and why exactly do we need to keep them healthy? Think of your dog’s joints like shock absorbers. They are in constant use, cushioning his bones to prevent wear and tear. Inevitably, as your dog gets older, he experiences the same wear and tear on his joints as we do.
Keep on moving
It goes without saying that keeping your dog slim and fit will help to reduce extra stress on his joints. And, of course, once he has his bounce back, regular exercise will help to keep his joints supple, and keep his heart and lungs healthy too.
Time to dust off the walking boots
It’s Week 5 and the final countdown. So maybe it’s time to start planning some lovely long walks for your dog to enjoy. The great thing is walking is good for you too, as it lowers blood pressure, tones muscles and helps burn calories. So a good walk can not only help maintain your dog’s mobility, but can also keep you fit too.

"Molly and I took the challenge and boy oh boy - it’s brilliant. She’s never going to be that lively, fit elephant that crashed through undergrowth and leapt up steep banks that she had been. But then again, neither am I."
